Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU), Patiala , established by the State Legislature Act No. 19 of 2019, is the first Open University in the state of Punjab.
Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India established for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of University education in India.
The University offers Postgraduate and Undergraduate programmes.
The University admits students in two cycles, viz., January and July.
The University open its 126th Learner Support Centres at ATTRI COLLEGE, Lalru Mandi, Distt. Mohali, Punjab.
Regular counselling sessions are conducted for learners.
